Information on Last years event!

THANK YOU to all of our volunteers, staff and guests who made last year another successful year! 

In the parking lot, guests enjoyed perusing pet related vendor booths, kids smiling faces, face painting, games, music, dog demonstrations, courtesy food, drinks and a raffle.  There was family fun for everyone! 

Most importantly, proceeds from this event benefit SPCA Cincinnati who had their Mobile Adoption Van on site.  It proved to be a win, win situation for proud, new pet owners and previously unwanted pets.  Through this event, we were able to get these pets started off on the right foot.  For every pet adopted the day of the event, the College Hill Pet Clinic provides one year of routine care for the pet.

Inside the hospital, pet owners took a behind-the-scenes tour.  Receptionists welcomed clients, as well as non-clients with register-to-win baskets.  Staff members accompany exam rooms showing displays and discussing topics such as veterinary acupuncture, heartworm, flea protection, and pet first-aid.

In surgery, Registered Veterinary Technicians sutured a teddy bear & in our Special Procedures Room, performed an ultrasound on the urinary bladder of a staff member’s dog.  Clients got a chance to see x-rays of pets, broken bones, pregnant cats, and unusual items that pets have swallowed.       

In the treatment room, a RVT showed off our dental equipment and before-and after photos of pets’ dental cleanings.

“Our open house creates awareness of what goes on behind the scenes and our high-tech equipment such as laser surgery and ultrasonography”, said Kevin D. Ketring, D.V.M., Owner of the College Hill Pet Clinic.  “Hosting an open house also gives the staff an opportunity to show off their skills in a relaxed atmosphere and it also lets us thank our clients while educating the public.”
